Here I Am, Send Me: Living With a Willing Heart

Here I Am, Send Me: Living With a Willing Heart

There is a phrase that has become the heart of Hineni Surf Co.: Here I am. Send me.

It is simple, but it carries so much meaning.

In Isaiah 6, the prophet Isaiah responds to God's call by saying, “Here I am! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8, ESV). Isaiah doesn't begin by laying out every detail of what his future will look like. He responds with a willing heart.

That kind of faith is something we want to keep learning to live out.

Saying Yes Before You Know the Whole Story

We love the idea of having everything figured out. We want to know where we are going, how things will work, and whether the outcome will look the way we imagined.

But following Jesus doesn't always come with a detailed roadmap.

Sometimes God asks us to take a step before we feel ready. Sometimes He redirects a plan we were excited about. Sometimes He opens a door we never expected, and sometimes He asks us to wait.

A willing heart doesn't mean we never feel afraid or uncertain. It means we choose to trust God even when we don't have all the answers.

It means being open to the possibility that His plans may look different from our own — and believing that we can trust Him with the outcome.

Faith in the Everyday

When we think about being sent by God, it can be easy to imagine something big or far away. We picture traveling across the world, stepping into full-time ministry, or doing something that completely changes our lives.

And sometimes, following God's call may look exactly like that.

But being sent can also look like showing up for a friend who needs encouragement. It can mean having the courage to talk about your faith, choosing kindness when it would be easier not to, or using the gifts God has given you to serve someone else.

You don't have to wait for a life-changing opportunity to start living with purpose.

God can use the ordinary moments, the conversations we almost overlook, and the places we already find ourselves.

The question isn't always, “Where is God sending me someday?”

Sometimes it's, “How can I be faithful with where He has placed me today?”

A Community With a Purpose

Hineni Surf Co. was created with the hope of bringing together people who love Jesus, love the ocean, and want their lives to reflect something bigger than themselves.

We want to celebrate the beauty of surf culture while creating space for genuine community and conversations about faith. We want to encourage people to live authentically, love others well, and remember that following Jesus is about more than what we say we believe. It is about how we live.

You don't have to have everything figured out to be part of that.

You can be growing, learning, asking questions, and discovering what it means to follow God in your own life. What matters is having a heart that is willing to listen and respond.

So, Where Is God Calling You?

Maybe you already know the next step you need to take. Maybe you've been feeling a pull toward something new, or maybe you're in a season of waiting and learning to trust Him.

Wherever you find yourself, remember that you don't need to see the entire path to take the next faithful step.

Our prayer is that Hineni Surf Co. serves as a reminder to live with open hands, an open heart, and a willingness to follow Jesus wherever He leads.

Not just when it's easy. Not just when it makes sense. But in the everyday moments, too.

Here I am, Lord.

Send me.

With love,

Hineni Surf Co.
